Manually batching Credit Terminal Devices

You may want to manually batch your PAX S300 for various reasons. Typically, the devices are set to batch automatically at a certain time. These procedures can help you if you need to perform one outside of those normal circumstances.

Batching your PAX S300

Access your PAX Device’s administration menu by pressing Func + 1 together. When prompted, enter the password provided to you. Next, tap the button labeled Host Settings. You will be prompted for the password a second time. Scroll down and tap Batch Close. The S300 will process the batch and, when finished, will display a message stating “Batch Closed.”

Batching your Android PAX Devices (A60, A80, A920)

Depending on the application that you are using for credit, RapidConnect or Sierra, your steps to access the menu will vary.

On Sierra, you’ll have an area on the top right of the screen where you can click the blocks symbol. From there, you’ll be prompted for a password. Enter the password you’ve been provided.

On RapidConnect, you’ll need to tap the 4 corners of the screen starting in the top left and move clockwise from there. In order, it would be top left, top right, bottom right, and bottom left. From there, you’ll be prompted for a password. Enter the password you’ve been provided.

*Note: On Android Pax Devices, you can also scroll down to Host Settings, and there should be a “Batch Close” option.

From the password prompt, both devices will follow the same steps going forward. First, navigate to System Settings and scroll to the bottom of this page. The third option from the bottom, titled ECR-Terminal Integration Mode, needs to be set to Internal POS/Standalone.

Once that is set, you can exit this menu and be returned to the main payment screen. From here, you’ll have an option for a Func menu. Inside of the Func Menu, select the Batch option. This will batch the device.

Once the device is batched, you must go back into Func and then into Settings. From Settings, navigate back to System Settings, scroll to the bottom of the page, and change the setting for ECR-Terminal Integration Mode back to External POS. There, you can exit this menu, and you’ll be back to the default settings to work with KORONA.
