Quick Start: Data Transfer from KORONA Studio Back Office to POS

Now that you have everything set up in the back office, you are almost ready to start testing configurations.

Before you begin testing, you must synchronize your KORONA Studio back office data with your POS terminals. This is known as Retrieving Master Data.

Follow the steps below to learn how to Retrieve Master Data on each of your point of sale terminals.

Any change you make in KORONA Studio will need to be downloaded to the POS terminals. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Product changes
  • Configuration changes
  • Price changes or promotions

The point of sale will download KORONA Studio back office changes automatically with every restart. It will also automatically download changes after generating an end of day statement. In most cases, this means that the point of sale will refresh its data at least once a day.

Sometimes, however, you may need to download your changes immediately.  This can be done by using the Retrieve Master Data function.  By default, you will find the button for that specific function under function tab 3 (see image).

Please Note: You will need to restart the POS Software after you retrieve master data if you make changes to any of the following settings:

  • Peripherals such as printers, cash drawers, or customer displays
  • Payment terminals or payment services
  • POS profiles

Normally, button changes do not require a POS restart. However, if button changes are not applied after you retrieve master data, try restarting the POS software.
