Cloud Update

While the cloud update is being performed the back office might not be accessible for up to 5 hours.  

The update is currently planned to be performed between Sunday, 11/2/2025 11:00 PM PDT and Monday, 11/3/2025 3:00 AM PDT.

KORONA Studio AI Recommendation Tool

We have now launched our Beta for a new AI tool for KORONA Studio. You can sign up for the Beta at the link here!

First off, we have AI recommendations for products. The tool can make suggestions for products, commodity groups, sectors, and prices based on product names.

Our AI tool will also have the ability to help line up headers on imports via the Custom CSV and Custom Excel options, seen below:

There will also be an option for the AI tool to import distributor invoices directly into Stock Receipts:

We also have something else in the works: an AI Report Analysis tool, which will help you interpret your reporting data in KORONA Studio and generate actionable insights.

*This feature will not be released in the initial cloud update, but is planned to be released shortly after.

We now have a couple new options to help you better track your margins

Retail and Purchase Prices report now includes a Profit Margin to help you keep a better eye on the margins of your existing products:

The Set Prices tool now has columns to display both the existing profit margin and the new profit margin based on the adjusted price:

Set Prices Tool

The Set Prices tool can now use prices from an existing Price Group to set prices for a new Price Group.

Previously, when a new Price Group was created or copied, prices had to be set manually either via an upload or by manually editing products.

We found this to be a bit unintuitive for users, so we have changed the Set Prices to have an option for a Template price and a Target price. This is particularly useful for customers who are using ‘dual pricing’, as they can directly set their credit prices via a multiple of their existing cash prices.

Container Products

We have also made some new changes to help you handle Container Products.

First, there is now a .csv export option for Product Containers, which will export all products that have container products attached as well as the relevant prices.

Second, Container Products can now be created via .csv import, and removed via the mass edit tool.

New Filtering Options

We have new Receipt Filters: Commodity Group, Couponing Promotion, and Couponing Promotion Triggered

Receipts can now be filtered by Commodity Groups of products sold, as well as by any Couponing Promotions that were present on the receipt.

There is also now a filter option for Organizational Unit under cashiers, to help track which cashiers have POS access in specific locations.

Reporting Changes:

Supplier Purchase Report can now be grouped by Products, Stock Receipts, and Stock Receipt Items. This replaces the previous Product and Item toggle boxes.

We have added a new column to the Discount Reasons report that shows the quantity of products sold under that discount. This will help users who need to be able to report the number of products that were discounted for reimbursement for manufacturer coupons.

Stock Valuation Report now has column totals for Current Stock, Goods Value, Stock Receipt Quantity, Total Net columns.

To aid in loss prevention auditing, a Time column has been added to the Cancellation Report that displays the date and time of any voided items or receipts at the POS.

Invoices

Reversal of invoices now generates a Reverse document that is linked to the appropriate invoice.

*Note: Invoices are only available as part of the KORONA Invoicing package.

Assortments

Automatic Retail Price Adjustment tool now has an All Price Decrease toggle, and users can now optionally decrease prices when costs drop, in addition to increasing prices. Price Adjustment will take place after the completion of a Stock Receipt.

*Note: Automatic Retail Price Adjustment is only available as part of our KORONA Plus package.

Data Exchange

Products now has a Warehouse option to export current stock levels for products included in the export

Note: This option is available for both .csv and Excel exports.

My Company Data

Digital Receipt email address is now configurable.

The sender address for digital receipts is now configurable per account. This will help prevent digital receipts going to spam folders for customers who opt-in, as previously the emails were using a system-generated generic email address.

Inventory Counts

Automatic booking time is configurable to hour as well as day.

Previously, only a day limit could be defined. Now, a specific hour can be specified.

*Note: As with all time functions in KORONA Studio, this function uses the 24-hour clock.

Additional Scan Product Options

Customer Orders, Delivery Notes, and Invoices now have a Scan Products option, for ease of adding products to those forms.

New Label Option

We now have a label option (2.36×1.18) that supports the dual pricing model.

POS Updates

We have several new POS updates coming out soon, slated for the release of POS version 2.6+.

Online Functions: Customers now has two new features to match the previous Customer Lookup function.
There is both a Customer Search function, and a customers Economic Zone can be edited at the POS.

Container Selection at POS will now show in numerical order by size.
