The Couponing Actions Report provides an in-depth, itemized breakdown of sales data related to coupons and promotions used during a specified time period. This report is crucial for evaluating the effectiveness and financial impact of your various coupon and discount strategies.

Accessing the Report

Navigate to Evaluations > Couponing Actions to open the report options.

Report Parameters

The report begins by displaying the selection criteria used to generate the data.

  • Organizational Unit – The specific store or business unit the report covers.
  • Customer Group – The customer segment included in the report.
  • Sector – The product tax sector included in the report.
  • Promotion – The promotions included in the report.
  • Reporting Period – The date and time range for the sales data.

Report Details

The core of the report is a table that itemizes each coupon, discount, or promotion type and provides key financial metrics for each. The row labeled with the organizational unit represents the overall totals for all transactions in the organizational unit.

The table includes the following columns:

  • Organizational Unit / Promotion – Lists the specific organizational unit followed by each individual promotion or discount applied during the reporting period.
  • Gross Revenue – The total sales revenue before any discounts are subtracted, specifically for transactions where the particular coupon or discount was applied.
  • Net Revenue – The total sales revenue after discounts but before sales tax is applied, specifically for transactions where the particular coupon or discount was applied. This reflects the revenue retained after applying the specific coupon or discount.
  • Receipts – This column represents the total value of the actual discounts given for each coupon or promotion. This is the financial impact or cost of the promotion.
  • Discount – This column indicates the total number of times that specific coupon or discount was applied, representing the transaction volume for that promotion.
