A receipt cancellation is only used for an open receipt that has not yet been finalized. While the receipt void option will perform a void on payments, the Cancel Receipt function will disregard everything on the receipt and save the receipt as cancellation. If you have credit or gift card payments on the receipt make sure to void/remove the payments before cancelling the receipt because the POS will not try to void them. The Cancel Receipt function can be used at any time to get out of any transaction.

*Note: A receipt cancellation is different than receipt void!
Create a new button with the POS function Cancel Receipt. This function can be performed in the booking screen or in the payments screen.
